Jakarta, Dec. 17 -- The Communication and Digital Affairs Ministry stated that the government aims to develop independently built artificial intelligence solutions, or sovereign AI, through the AI Talent Factory program.

"Our goal is to build sovereign AI, AI whose models are created by Indonesia and reflect the values of our society," Deputy Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Nezar Patria said after delivering remarks at the AI Talent Day & Graduation 2025 event here on Wednesday.

To accelerate the development of the national artificial intelligence ecosystem, the Ministry has introduced a flagship program called AI Talent Factory.
