Jakarta, Sept. 8 -- The Ministry of Environment stated that the 29 percent budget increase for 2026 will be focused on improving waste management and mitigating climate change.

"The 2026 budget distribution has been structured to support management, improve environmental quality, and disaster and climate change resilience," Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said in Jakarta on Monday.

He stated that the public would directly benefit from better environmental quality, more effective pollution control, and improved waste management facilities in the regions.
