Jakarta, Jan. 16 -- Deputy Minister of Environment Diaz Hendropriyono underscored the critical role of villages in Indonesia's national waste management system and global climate resilience, including through local innovations to address environmental challenges.
"The Ministry of Environment is currently evaluating local governments for the Adipura Award, so it is important to strengthen waste management innovations at the village level," Hendropriyono said in a statement received on Friday.
