Jakarta, April 10 -- The Ministry of Environment called on all industrial park managers to establish Air Quality Monitoring Stations (SPKU) to address potential air pollution ahead of the dry season.
"Since there is no ministerial regulation yet, we will mandate it through a ministerial decree until the ministerial regulation is created. Hence, it is semi-mandatory," Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq told the press after a meeting with businesses operating in industrial parks here on Thursday.
He explained that the installation of SPKU aims to identify pollution sources and determine further steps.
