Tangerang, Banten, Feb. 13 -- The Ministry of Environment has prepared legal action regarding environmental pollution, particularly in the Cisadane River, due to the fire at PT Biotek Saranatama in South Tangerang.

"Anyone who pollutes must be held accountable in accordance with applicable regulations," Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said after attending a cleanup agenda at Pasar Anyar Tangerang on Friday.

According to him, the legal action taken includes civil and criminal action against the management of the pesticide warehouse owned by PT Biotek Saranatama, which caught fire and polluted the Cisadane River.
