Jakarta, Feb. 18 -- Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo has said that efforts to accelerate the construction of functional toll roads in several areas are aimed at anticipating congestion during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming from March to April 2025.

He informed that the government is extending the length of functional toll roads by around 58 kilometers, with several toll roads prioritized for completion in strategic areas such as Palembang and Yogyakarta.

"We are pushing this functional toll roads work to reduce congestion during homecoming," he said after a limited meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace on Tuesday.
