Jakarta, Feb. 21 -- Deputy Minister of Creative Economy Irene Umar emphasized the importance of mastering foreign languages, especially in the digital world, which remains a challenge for many Indonesians.
"We must learn to speak the language to advance Indonesia. We need to be relevant to the outside world so that Indonesia is seen not just as a market but also as a creator," she stated in a press release received here on Friday.
Irene made this statement at the Dicoding Connect 2025 event organized by Dicoding Indonesia.
She believes that such events can broaden perspectives and create collaboration opportunities in the digital industry.
