Indonesia, Aug. 29 -- The Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is intensifying efforts to involve MSMEs in the fisheries sector to support the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.

Deputy for Micro Enterprises Riza Damanik stated here, Friday, that the initiative in Maros District aims to optimize the fisheries sector through ecosystem-based business mentoring-from upstream production to downstream distribution.

"This includes strengthening legality, capacity building, financing, market access, and partnerships between MSME suppliers and Nutrition Fulfillment Service Units (SPPGs)," Riza said during a visit to Maros, South Sulawesi.
