Jakarta, June 9 -- The Social Affairs Ministry responded promptly to the landslide disaster in Ambon City, Maluku, on Sunday (June 8) by delivering logistical assistance.

Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf directly instructed the ministry's Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, Masryani Mansyur, to deploy a team to the affected area for initial assessment and data collection.

In a statement received here on Monday, Mansyur stated that the ministry also assisted in clearing fallen trees that temporarily blocked access along Dr. Latumeten Street.
