Garut, West Java, May 11 -- The Ministry of Religious Affairs has called on all Hajj pilgrims to adhere to official rules and guidance to ensure a smooth pilgrimage journey -- from departure to return.
This message was delivered by Hilman Latief, Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation at the ministry, during a send-off ceremony for pilgrims in Garut, West Java, on Saturday.
Latief stated that Indonesia has secured a Hajj quota of 221 thousand for 2025, consisting of 203,320 regular pilgrims and 17,680 special pilgrims.
He added that during the first phase of departure, over 60 thousand Indonesian pilgrims have arrived in Medina, while around 5,000 have reached Mecca.
