Jakarta, Jan. 27 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi said his ministry is prioritizing efforts to keep transportation connectivity in Sumatra functional following floods and landslides that struck Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

"Our main focus is ensuring that connectivity is maintained to support the distribution of logistics," Purwagandhi said during a meeting with Commission V of the House of Representatives in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He said that, in line with directives from President Prabowo Subianto, all government agencies have been instructed to maximize resource mobilization for disaster response efforts in Sumatra.
