Jakarta, June 18 -- The Ministry of Environment is seeking to set up a uniform network of environmental laboratories across provinces to support environmental supervision.

In a statement released in Jakarta on Wednesday, Environment Minister Hanif Faisol Nurofiq said that the laboratories are not just facilities for testing samples, but also strategic instruments to determine the direction of environmental management.

"Without the support of stakeholders in provinces and districts, of course, environmental management and protection will not be optimal," he added.
