Jakarta, Dec. 8 -- Indonesia's Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning Nusron Wahid said on Monday the ministry is ready to coordinate with the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) to secure land for disaster survivors in Sumatra.
"If the victims need permanent or temporary housing and land is unavailable, we will request state land currently under business use rights (HGU) in affected areas," Nusron said after opening the ministry's National Working Meeting in Jakarta.
He added that providing land for housing would not be a problem, though no site surveys have been conducted yet for the temporary or permanent housing plans.
