Jakarta, May 19 -- The Ministry of Transmigration is preparing 10 thousand hectares of land in East Sumba, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), for a pilot project for cattle farming in collaboration with a Brazilian investor.
Minister of Transmigration Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara stated that this collaboration aims to improve community welfare and the economy, as well as strengthen national food security by developing an integrated livestock ecosystem.
"The new concept of transmigration involves communal land to be managed by the community as assets, allowing for a profit-sharing scheme between the community and investors," he explained in a statement on Sunday (May 18).
