Jakarta, Dec. 7 -- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education organized training for trainers on capacity building for the prevention and handling of violence in schools across Indonesia, aiming to reduce incidents of violence in schools.

The training serves as a strategic step to prepare competent national facilitators with a strong perspective on child protection and the realization of a safe, comfortable school environment.

"In the era of globalization, children receive information rapidly, and it is often difficult to filter what content is beneficial for character building and what is harmful," said the Head of the Ministry's Character Strengthening Center, Rusprita Putri Utami, in a written statement here on Sunday.
