Jakarta, Jan. 28 -- The Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry has organized technical training on converting fossil based-motorbikes into electric ones for the first batch of 22 Jakarta residents.

"The use of private vehicles is one of the contributors to the (high) consumption of fossil fuels, which increases emissions and has a negative impact on health and the environment," Head of the ministry's Center for Human Resources Development (PPSDM) for Electricity, New Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation (KEBTKE) Susetyo Edi Prabowo said.

He made the statement while opening the training, according to a press release received from the ESDM Ministry on Saturday.
