Jakarta, Feb. 26 -- The Ministry of Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers (P2MI) has set a target of placing 425 thousand Indonesian citizens in overseas jobs in 2025.

"We are targeting the placement of 425 thousand migrant workers abroad this year, an increase from the previous 297 thousand people," P2MI Deputy Minister Christina Aryani stated at the Jakarta Job Fair on Wednesday.

The deputy minister believes this target is achievable, given that the global demand for human resources (HR) reached 1.3 million in 2024.

"With cross-sector collaboration, we hope to seize the opportunity," Aryani remarked.
