Jakarta, March 17 -- The Ministry of Social Affairs has distributed logistics assistance to 2,646 flood victims in Sumedang District, West Java.

According to data received by the ministry, the 2,646 victims are from 752 families in the villages of Cihanjuang, Sindanggalih, Sukadana, and Sindangpakuon in Cimanggung Sub-district, Sumedang, West Java.

"From the reports we received, the affected residents are still taking refuge in safer homes of their relatives," the ministry's Acting Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, Masryani Mansyur, noted in an official statement here on Monday.
