Jakarta, Sept. 24 -- The Indonesian Ministry of Transmigration (Kementrans) has dispatched 306 reserve component (Komcad) participants from local transmigration communities to undergo basic military training at the Army Training and Education Command (Kodiklat) in Bandung.
"Upon graduation, they will be sworn in and given ranks according to the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) rank structure. Junior high school graduates will become enlisted soldiers (tamtama), high school graduates will be non-commissioned officers (bintara), and university graduates will be commissioned officers," Minister of Transmigration Muhammad Iftitah Sulaiman Suryanagara said during a send-off ceremony at the Ministry's office in Jakarta on Wednesday.
