Jakarta, Dec. 2 -- The Health Ministry has increased its healthcare response and logistical aid to flood- and landslide-affected areas in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
The ministry's Head of the Health Crisis Center, Agus Jamaludin, on Tuesday, said as an initial step, a rapid health assessment has been conducted to map risks and urgent needs.
According to him, all community health centers ( Puskesmas ) and hospitals are on standby, including strengthening mobile services and health posts in evacuation centers.
"We are strengthening basic services, screening, infectious disease mitigation, and monitoring vulnerable groups such as toddlers, pregnant women, and the elderly," Jamaludin explained.
