Jakarta, July 31 -- The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) continue to strengthen collaboration to block bank accounts suspected of being used for online gambling transactions.

Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid noted that blocking access to online gambling transactions is a more efficient deterrent, while the government also consistently blocks access to online gambling-related content on the internet.

"Content can be easily recreated, but it is difficult to reopen an account once blocked," she noted in a statement in Jakarta on Thursday.
