Jakarta, April 23 -- The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology explored cooperation with state-owned banknote printer Peruri for the digitalization of diplomas to support the acceleration of digital transformation in the education sector.

"We hope this cooperation can have an effective impact on universities, such as digitalization of diplomas and legal documents, and other important documents," Higher Education, Science, and Technology Minister Brian Yuliarto noted in a statement here on Wednesday.

Yuliarto stated that one of the main obstacles his ministry is currently facing is the digitalization of diplomas, noting that incidents of diploma forgery persist.
