Jakarta, June 30 -- The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology have officially established a joint committee to accelerate reforms in medical education and national health services.

The launch and signing of the decree regarding the joint committee took place in Jakarta on Monday, marking close collaboration between the two ministries in responding to challenges in meeting the need for medical personnel and improving service quality.

"We are currently facing a medical personnel shortage in various regions. This committee will facilitate each party to run simultaneously without overlapping," Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology, Fauzan, stated in Jakarta on Monday.
