Jakarta, Feb. 11 -- The Ministry of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions (PDT) is opening up the opportunity for collaboration with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement (PKP) to construct two million houses in villages.

The collaboration opportunities were discussed at a meeting between Villages and PDT Minister Yandri Susanto and Deputy Minister of PKP Fahri Hamzah in Jakarta on Tuesday.

Hamzah remarked that the government planned to build three million houses, allocating one million each for urban, rural, and coastal areas.

"We assume the coastal areas are part of villages, as most of Indonesia's around 12 thousand coastal areas are located in villages," he explained.
