Jakarta, March 15 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi has urged state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the transportation sector to ensure travel safety and efficiency during the Eid al-Fitr homecoming and return periods.

He conveyed this message during a coordination meeting with SOEs Minister Erick Thohir and leaders of transportation-sector SOEs here on Saturday.

Purwagandhi emphasized that ensuring the safety and security of homecoming travelers is a shared responsibility between the government and transportation SOEs.

He called on all stakeholders to enhance vigilance across all modes of transportation, including land, sea, air, and railways.
