Jakarta, May 28 -- Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid emphasized the need to strengthen cross-sector collaboration to enhance cybersecurity as an essential part of national defense in the digital era.

"Cyberspace is the heart of the nation's new defense. Protecting it means safeguarding Indonesia's future," Hafid told participants of the leadership program at the National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) in Jakarta on Tuesday (May 27).

She highlighted several digital threats that could endanger national sovereignty, including misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation.
