Jakarta, Feb. 10 -- Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno asked Google, one of the largest internet service and product providers, to help ensure safe internet use in Indonesia nationwide.

"We have no choice. When we go on the hajj, the option is to fly, even though there are risks, but that does not mean the solution is to walk. That is what I want to say to YouTube and Google," Pratikno said at 2026 Internet Safety Day here on Tuesday.

He said drafting user guides for parents, teachers, children, and others is insufficient if such guides are not actually used.
