Jakarta, Nov. 18 -- Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, Arifah Fauzi, has called for a thorough and transparent investigation into the bullying case involving a 13-year-old student of SMPN 19 South Tangerang, identified as MH, whose ordeal ended in his death.

Arifah delivered the statement during a visit to the family home in Jakarta on Tuesday.

She stressed that schools must serve as safe spaces for children rather than environments where violence occurs.
