Jakarta, May 8 -- Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid urged the Financial Transactions Reporting and Analysis Center (PPATK) and the National Police (Polri) to use artificial intelligence (AI) to tackle cybercrimes in Indonesia.
Hafid explained that this step is necessary as cybercriminals are already using AI to target victims not only in Indonesia but also globally.
Speaking at the Risk-Based Mentoring Program event in Jakarta on Thursday, Hafid underscored that her ministry had implemented AI to manage harmful content and combat cybercrimes in the digital space, especially in blocking access to online gambling.
