Jakarta, March 14 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi emphasized the importance of using digital transformation to improve the comfort and experience of public transportation users.
"Contactless payment innovation is one of the strategic steps for encouraging people to switch from private vehicles to public transportation," he said at the launch of the Quick Response Code Indonesian Standard (QRIS) Tap at Bundaran HI MRT Station, Jakarta, on Friday.
He affirmed that his ministry fully supports digital transformation efforts in the transportation sector, including the launch of digital-based payments such as QRIS Tap.
