Jakarta, Aug. 27 -- Youth and Sports Minister Dito Ariotedjo is targeting the Youth Development Index (IPP), which provides an overview of the progress of youth development in Indonesia, to increase to 67.24 in 2026.
This was conveyed by the minister during a meeting with Commission X of the House of Representatives (DPR) in Jakarta on Wednesday.
The IPP score as of August 2024, based on data released by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, stood at 56.33, increased from 55.33 in 2022.
Ariotedjo highlighted that his ministry has a big goal of developing excellent and competitive youths who have good character.
In the 2026 fiscal year, the budget ceiling for youth-related programs is set at Rp60 billion (around US$3.65 million).
