Jakarta, Feb. 27 -- Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Budi Gunawan urged regional heads to exert their utmost efforts to maintain political and security stability in their regions to contribute to Indonesia's journey toward progress.
"The absence of political and security stability will dampen development efforts, preventing us from improving the people's welfare and developing this nation optimally," he told regional heads during an orientation retreat at the Military Academy in Magelang, Central Java, on Wednesday (February 26).
As cited from his ministry's release on Thursday, Gunawan affirmed that security and political conduciveness would pave the way for the realization of sustainable economic growth.
