Jakarta, Sept. 25 -- Indonesia's land and spatial planning policies must serve the public interest and promote sustainable development, Agrarian Affairs Minister Nusron Wahid said on Thursday.

"Land and space management only matter if they truly benefit the people," Nusron said in a statement marking Agrarian and Spatial Planning Day (Hantaru).

He emphasized that the policies align with Astacita, the government's long-term development vision, by ensuring responsible use of land and natural resources for future generations.
