Indonesia, June 14 -- Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti has underlined the government's commitment to realizing quality education as the main pillar of national human resource development.
"We are striving to ensure every citizen has equal access and opportunity to (get) quality education," he said in Samarinda, East Kalimantan, on Saturday.
He added that the ministry's goal to provide quality education services aligns with the mandate of the Constitution.
To improve educational services, the ministry has decided to revitalize and renovate more than 11 thousand educational institutions across Indonesia this year. It has allocated a budget of Rp16.9 trillion (approximately US$1.03 billion) for the purpose.
