Jakarta, Aug. 4 -- Communication and Digital Affairs Minister Meutya Hafid drew attention to vision problems related to gadget use found among students at Penaburan Catholic Middle School, Tangerang, Banten, on Monday.

During the kick-off of the Free Health Checkups (CKG) at School program, Hafid stated that the health screening provides insight into students' health, particularly their vision. She stated that the health problem is caused by excessive screen time, a common issue in this era of digitalization.

The minister also advised parents to monitor their children's gadget use to help maintain eye health.
