Jakarta, July 20 -- Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi expressed concern over the declining familiarity of children with Indonesian national songs.

"Apparently, many of our children today have no longer known national songs. I was quite saddened when I asked some children about the song Halo-halo Bandung, they did not know it. The same with Berkibarlah Benderaku, they did not know it," she said here on Sunday.

She conveyed this concern during a car-free day event commemorating National Children's Day 2025 in Jakarta.
