Jakarta, March 21 -- Transportation Minister Dudy Purwagandhi inaugurated the Eid al-Fitr Central Transportation Post to ensure safe, comfortable, and smooth travel and mobility for the public during the month of Ramadan and the Eid al-Fitr celebration.

According to Purwagandhi, the post will be open from March 23 to April 11, 2025.

"Today marks the beginning of the Eid Central Transportation Post operation, which will last for 22 days. This is an important step to ensure a safe, comfortable, and successful exodus for all people in Indonesia," he remarked here on Friday.

He estimated that over 146.4 million people in Indonesia will travel this year for homecoming, using various modes of transportation.
