Jakarta, Feb. 7 -- National Development Planning Minister (PPN), Rachmat Pambudy, met with US Ambassador to Indonesia, Kamala Shrin Lakhdir, to seek clarity on the scope and impact of the US' temporary foreign aid suspension on Indonesia's development programs.
The minister voiced concerns that the temporary foreign aid suspension policy could negatively impact important programs in Indonesia, including the handling of HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis, and the provision of medical equipment.
"We are seeking (more information) for further understanding regarding this policy and its impact on our ongoing programs," Pambudy noted in a statement on Friday.
