Jakarta, Sept. 14 -- Indonesia's State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi defended the government's use of cinema screens to broadcast promotional videos, saying the practice is acceptable as long as it follows regulations and respects public comfort.
Speaking in Jakarta on Sunday, Hadi responded to public debate over a short video highlighting President Prabowo Subianto's flagship programs, which recently aired in several movie theaters.
"Using public media to deliver messages is normal, as long as it doesn't violate rules or disturb aesthetics and public convenience," Hadi said.
