North Penajam Paser, May 31 -- Nusantara, Indonesia's future capital city under construction in East Kalimantan Province, is envisioned as a hub for the nation's diverse cultures, according to Culture Minister Fadli Zon.
"More than a mere seat of government, Nusantara also serves as a common house for Indonesian cultures," he remarked on the sidelines of the Nusantara Cultural Festival, held in the city's government core area in North Penajam Paser District on Saturday.
He praised the festival as a testament to the government's commitment to preserving the cultural heritage and building an ecosystem in which culture can thrive in the new capital.
