Jakarta, Dec. 4 -- Home Affairs Minister Tito Karnavian urged regional heads across Indonesia to show their solidarity and provide support to three provinces in Sumatra affected by devastating floods and landslides, namely, Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.
In a statement here on Thursday, he noted that the governments of West Sumatra, North Sumatra, and Aceh are currently in a difficult situation and require tangible support from other regions.
To this end, he encouraged regions with strong fiscal capacity to assist with disaster management.
