Jakarta, Feb. 21 -- Primary and Secondary Education Minister Abdul Mu'ti emphasized the significance of preserving regional languages as it is not only a constitutional requirement but also integral to the nation's identity.
"To commemorate International Mother Language Day, we fully support activities and programs carried out by the Language Development Agency," he noted in a written statement here on Friday.
The minister made these remarks while officially opening the series of events of the 2025 International Mother Language Day commemoration in Sofifi, North Maluku, on Thursday.
