Jakarta, Aug. 10 -- Minister of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection Arifah Fauzi urged all parties to collaborate to address women's and children's issues.
"Everyone must collaborate to address women's and children's issues. We are grateful that the Central Leadership of the Wanita Syarikat Islam (WSI) is willing to join hands with the Ministry of Women's Empowerment and Child Protection," she said in Jakarta on Friday.
She made the statement while welcoming Valina Singka Subekti, Chairwoman of the WSI Central Leadership, to build some collaborative efforts to realize women's empowerment and child protection in Indonesia.
She highlighted the alarming trend of sexual violence against women and children in Indonesia.
