Jakarta, Jan. 11 -- Indonesia's former president Megawati Soekarnoputri on Saturday strongly condemned the recent United States military intervention in Venezuela, calling it a neocolonialist act that violates national sovereignty and threatens the foundations of the international order.
The daughter of Indonesia's founding president Soekarno made the remarks in her capacity as chair of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) during celebrations marking the party's 53rd anniversary and the opening of its first National Meeting of 2026 in North Jakarta.
