Medan, N Sumatra, July 28 -- The Polonia Immigration Office in Medan, North Sumatra, on Monday announced the deportation and entry ban of an Indian national, identified as GS, for violating visa rules.
GS overstayed his visa, which expired on December 19, 2024, head of the immigration office, Ridha Syahputra, informed. Thus, he violated the Indonesian Immigration Law No.6/2011, he added.
GS and another Indian citizen, identified as SS, were nabbed from Bajak neighborhood, Medan Amplas district, on July 26, 2025, based on tips received from the public, he added.
SS did not have a valid stay permit and his emergency certificate, a one-way travel document from the Indian government, had expired on April 4, 2015.
