Jakarta, April 9 -- Head of the Finance Ministry's Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) Febrio Kacaribu highlighted that Indonesia's manufacturing sector remains competitive amid the global trade dynamics.

This is reflected in Indonesia's Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), which reached 52.4 in March 2025, continuing an expansive trend since December 2024.

"The ongoing expansion in manufacturing is driven by continued production growth over the past few months, both due to increased domestic demand during Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr, as well as export demand," Kacaribu said, as quoted here on Wednesday.

The agency head also attributed this growth to optimism about future economic prospects.
