Jakarta, Sept. 15 -- The Manpower Ministry has summoned 41 West Java companies for failing to pay their Social Security for Employment (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) contributions.
In a statement in Jakarta on Monday, Director of Manpower Norms Inspection at the ministry, Rinaldi Umar, said the summonses followed an inspection of 95 companies in March 2025.
The inspection revealed several violations, including failure to register workers, reporting lower wages than actually paid, and falling into arrears on contributions. Umar said the ministry's supervisory team then requested clarification from the 41 companies on August 25-29, 2025.
