Indonesia, March 31 -- The Indonesian Navy Main Base (Lantamal) VI in Makassar, South Sulawesi, opened its gate for the public during Eid al-Fitr and hosted the Eid prayer for Makassar residents on Monday.

Following the Eid prayer, naval base commander Brigadier General Wahyudi gave the green light to residents looking to board and take photographs aboard the warships and instructed his officers to provide assistance.

"We welcome residents who wish to board the warships. Our personnel will guide you, and you can take pictures on board," Wahyudi stated.
