Jakarta, Sept. 23 -- Former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD has voiced willingness to join the planned Police Reform Committee at the government's invitation, according to State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi.

"Praise be to God, Mr. Mahfud has expressed readiness to join the committee," Hadi told the press at the Parliamentary Complex in Jakarta on Tuesday.

He noted that the upcoming national committee would comprise around nine members, including former chiefs of the National Police (Polri).

However, Hadi refrained from disclosing further details, suggesting that President Prabowo Subianto might announce the members once he returns from his overseas visits.
