Jakarta, Nov. 3 -- Chairman of the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) Board of Commissioners, Anggito Abimanyu, has called on banks to lower their deposit interest rates, which continue to exceed the official Deposit Insurance Rate (TBP).
Speaking at a press conference of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK) in Jakarta on Monday, Anggito noted that despite several downward adjustments to the TBP, average deposit rates in the banking sector remain elevated.
